PhonePe has introduced PulsePro,a paid enterprise intelligence platform that uses aggregated and anonymised digital transaction data to offer near real-time,hyperlocal market insights across India. The service aims to help businesses track spending trends, identify growth pockets and make faster expansion decisions with high geographic precision.

What PulsePro offers

Built on PhonePe’s network of over 700 million registered users and 50 million merchants, the platform covers nearly 99% of India’s postal codes. It delivers market signals at multiple granularities — city, district, pin code and even 1 km × 1 km and 250 m × 250 m grids — helping firms pinpoint optimal locations for stores, service centres or franchises.

PulsePro allows businesses to view trends across weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly periods. It segments data by age, gender, affluence and Gen Z activity, and tracks spending across more than 200 store categories and over 100 market indicators. This depth of data aims to replace slower survey-based research with real transaction behaviour.

Three core solutions

  • Category &Growth Intelligence: Monitor category performance and spot emerging product or service opportunities.
  • Retail Network Intelligence: Optimise distribution and plan urban and rural expansion using actual transaction activity.
  • Hyperlocal Intelligence: Assess local demand and payment adoption before committing to new locations.

Selected insights and privacy

PhonePe showcased illustrative trends from its data. Examples include Chakan (Pune) leading in OTT usage,Marathahalli (Bengaluru) recording the most late-night orders, and Maharashtra topping pet-related spending. PhonePe also reported a single-day transaction peak above ₹65,000 crore on 2 March 2026.

PhonePe emphasises that PulsePro uses only aggregated and anonymised data. No personal identifiers, merchant identities or individual transaction details are exposed. The company says this approach generally places PulsePro outside the consent scope of the DPDP Act,2023,though privacy experts recommend users review settings if they wish to limit commercial use of their transaction data.

PulsePro marks PhonePe’s strategic move from consumer payments into enterprise intelligence, offering firms data-led insights to navigate India’s evolving consumption patterns while asserting a focus on user privacy.
